Description:

The brachial artery is the major arterial pathway transporting blood through the brachium, or arm. It begins where the axillary artery crosses the distal border of the teres major muscle and terminates at its bifurcation into the ulnar and radial arteries anterior to the elbow joint. It gives rise to numerous branches that distribute blood to the muscles and tissues of the brachium.
