Description:

This large foramen in the center of the cervical vertebrae has a triangular shape. The foramen's borders are the long posterior side of the rectangular body anteriorly, the pedicles and articular pillars laterally, and the thin laminae posteriorly. It houses the spinal cord and its meningeal coverings.
