Description:

This is a section of areolar (loose) connective tissue from a non-adipose region of the subcutaneous layer of the integument. This loose fibrous tissue is widely distributed in the body where it provides strength, elasticity, and support to neighboring tissues. It is a general packing and binding tissue throughout the body.
