Insertion:
The length of the linea aspera and the proximal part of the medial supracondylar line; the adductor tubercle of the femur

Actions:
Adducts and extends the hip joint

Nerve supply:
Obturator and tibial nerves

Blood supply:
Branches of the femoral artery
