Description:

This is the tendinous anterior aspect of the transversus abdominis muscle. As the muscle fibers of the transversus abdominis terminate anteriorly, a broad flat tendon emerges from the muscle fibers and passes deep to the rectus abdominis muscle. The aponeuroses of the right and left transversus abdominis muscles intersect at the midline, between the rectus abdominis muscles, to form the linea alba.
