Description:

This line on the external surface of the iliac ala is intermediate in length between the other gluteal lines. It courses in an anteroposterior direction from the anterior inferior iliac spine to the greater sciatic notch. It defines the boundary between the attachment surfaces for the gluteus medius, above the line, and the gluteus minimus, below the line.
