Medial condyle of femur

View Related Images

Description:

The femoral condyles are the knuckle-like processes at the distal end of the femur. The medial condyle forms the knob-like distomedial end of the femur. Its large, convex, medial projection is readily palpable. Most of its posterior and distal surfaces are covered with articular cartilage. The anterior articular surface does not extend as far proximally as that of the lateral condyle.
