Description:

The seminiferous tubules of the testis are the convoluted tubules where sperm are produced. The walls of the seminiferous tubules contain two kinds of cells - spermatogenic cells, the stem cells of sperm production, and Sertoli cells, which have several functions in supporting spermatogenesis.
