Description:
The right lung differs from the left lung in having three lobes rather than just two. Like the left lung it has an oblique fissure that descends from posterosuperior to anteroinferior creating anterior and posterior lobes. Posterior to this fissure is the posterior lobe of the lung. Anterior to the oblique fissure, a horizontal fissure divides the anterior part of the right lung into a superior and middle lobe.
